Gingerbread with apples

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 400 g apples, peeled, pitted, grated
  • 250 g sugar
  • 1 pack of baking soda
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 pack of gingerbread spice
  • 1 pack of almonds
  • Couverture or chocolate, e.g. dark or milk chocolate

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

quick to make and super tasty

Mix the grated apples with the baking soda and sugar and let rest for 1 hour. Then add the oil, flour, egg, and spices to the apple mixture and mix everything well. Preheat the oven to medium heat (approx. 160°C) and spread the mixture evenly on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake for approx. 30 minutes. The dough should be firm and brown in color. In the meantime, bring a pot of water to the boil and let the almonds rest briefly in the boiling water, then remove and peel them. After baking, let the gingerbread cool completely and cut into pieces. Melt the chocolate coating in a double boiler and pour it over the gingerbread, then decorate with the almonds.
