Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 150 g butter, cold
  • 75 g sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Flour for the work surface
  • 150 g semi-sweet chocolate coating
  • Confectionery (Giotto balls)

Instructions

Working time approx. 55 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 7 minutes

Knead flour, fat, sugar, cinnamon, and salt into a dough. Chill for about 1 hour. Roll out the dough thinly on a lightly floured surface. Cut out stars (approx. 6 cm in diameter) and place them on a prepared baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (convection oven: 175°C, gas mark 3) for about 10-12 minutes. Allow to cool. Chop the chocolate and melt it in a hot water bath. Stick one Giotto ball with chocolate coating onto each star. Decorate with chocolate stripes.
