Good morning scones

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 400 g flour
  • 40 g sugar
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 300 ml buttermilk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 100 g butter
  • 300 g muesli (raisins, oat flakes, etc.)
  • some milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Quick, low in calories and better than the overly sweet stuff, makes about 20 scones

Mix the flour with sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the butter; it’s best to cut it into small pieces first. Next, mix it with the buttermilk and add the muesli mix. Now you can place the dough in small mounds, about the size of your hand, on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. You can preheat the oven to 200°C (top and bottom heat) (or 180°C (fan oven). Finally, brush the scones with milk. If desired, you can also sprinkle each one with a little muesli mix. Now bake for 20 to 30 minutes. Serve with fruit puree or compote, and perhaps yogurt.
