Gooseberry Pudding Cake
The perfect gooseberry pudding cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For the dough:
- 250 g Flour
- 1 packet Dry yeast
- 25 g Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 Egg
- 50 g Butter
- 100 ml Warm milk
For covering:
- 1 Glass Gooseberries
- 2 packet Vanilla custard powder
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 700 ml Milk
For painting:
- 2 cups Sour cream
- 4 tbsp Sugar
For the dough:
- Sift the flour into a bowl.
- Add the dry yeast and mix.
- Add sugar, salt, egg, butter and milk and knead everything well.
- Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes until the dough has visibly enlarged.
- Roll out the dough in a springform pan.
For covering:
- Drain the gooseberries well and spread them on the dough.
- Make a pudding out of pudding powder, sugar and milk.
- Pour the pudding over the gooseberries and smooth out.
- Bake at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes.
For painting:
- Put the sour cream and sugar in a bowl and stir.
- Spread the sour cream on the cake.
