Gorgonzola sauce with tomatoes and basil

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 200g Gorgonzola
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 400 g cream
  • 10 leaves basil, fresh
  • olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ½ handful of oregano
  • Salt
  • some milk, if necessary

Instructions

Sauté the garlic in a pan with a generous splash of oil. Meanwhile, finely chop the tomatoes and add them to the garlic after about 1-2 minutes. Let the whole thing sizzle over high heat for 1-2 minutes, then add half a handful of oregano and finally the sliced ​​Gorgonzola. Season with 4-5 sliced ​​fresh basil leaves. After about 20-40 seconds, stir in 100g of cream and wait until the cheese is completely melted. Then stir in the remaining 300g of cream. Add a splash of milk if desired. Then, without too much salt, add 5 more basil leaves on top. Let it boil, then turn off the heat. The sauce tastes especially delicious with good tortellini.
