Gorgonzola wine sauce with green asparagus

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 175 g asparagus, green, net weight
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 2 shots of white wine
  • 200 g sweet Gorgonzola
  • some olive oil
  • some nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp Italian herbs, frozen
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Peel and slice the asparagus. Finely dice the garlic and fry in a pan with a little olive oil. Add the asparagus and fry. Season with salt and pepper, deglaze with 2 splashes of white wine, and simmer for 5 minutes. Roughly dice the Gorgonzola and add to the asparagus. Season with a little nutmeg and simmer until the Gorgonzola has dissolved and the sauce is creamy. Stir in the Italian herbs shortly before the end of the cooking time. This sauce goes well with pasta, gnocchi, and even white meat.
