Gouda salad

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 250 g cheese (Gouda)
  • 1 can of tangerine(s)
  • 1 cup blue seedless grapes
  • 1 can pineapple
  • 2 apples, sour
  • 250 ml cream
  • 2 tbsp Miracle Whip
  • 1 tsp, leveled cayenne pepper
  • 2 tbsp desiccated coconut

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 30 minutes

a hit at parties and for guests

Drain the mandarins and pineapple slices. Cut the pineapple slices into small pieces. Dice the Gouda (preferably a “soft” center, definitely without a hard edge). Halve the grapes and dice the peeled apples. Mix the cream, Miracle Whip, cayenne pepper, and desiccated coconut. Fold in the Gouda and the fruit. Cover the salad and let it sit for a day. The cayenne pepper is hot, so only use a level teaspoon. I don’t like spicy food, but since only the pepper and no other spices are used here, the salad has a great flavor and is definitely not too spicy.
