Goulash from Hungary

  • 500 g Pork goulash
  • 250 g Onions
  • 500 g Tomatoes
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 125 g Ham cubes
  • 100 ml. Red wine
  • 1 Tbsp. Caraway seed
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 2 Cloves
  • 1 Tbsp. Hot paprika powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Chili powder
  • Thyme
  • Creme fraiche Cheese
  1. Sear the goulash in a saucepan,
  2. Peel the onions and garlic and add to the goulash with the ham.
  3. Boil the tomatoes, remove the skin, dice and also add to the goulash, fry everything again vigorously and deglaze with the red wine.
  4. Now add all the spices, close the lid and let everything simmer for about 60 minutes.
  5. Serve the goulash with a dollop of creme fraiche.
  6. Serves with sauerkraut and boiled potatoes.
