Grandma Lilo’s Zuchini Sauce

The perfect grandma lilo’s zuchini sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 medium sized Zuchini
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Clove of garlic
  • 2 Tablespoon Olive oil
  • 2 Tablespoon Salt
  • 2 Tablespoon White pepper
  • 0,125 liter White wine
  • 0,25 liter Chicken broth
  • 300 g Creme fraiche Cheese
  • 2 Tablespoon Sauce binder for light sauces
  • 2 Tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 0,5 bunch Lemon balm fresh

The preparation of the sauce

  1. Clean and wash the zucchini and cut into small cubes. Peel and finely dice the onion and garlic. Heat oil in a pot. Sauté the zucchini, onion and garlic cubes in it. Season with salt and pepper. Pour in the wine and stock, bring to the boil and cook for 5 minutes and add the creme fraiche. Scatter sauce thickener and let the sauce boil once. Season with salt, pepper and lemon juice. Wash lemon balm, pat dry and cut into fine strips. Sprinkle over the sauce, done.
