Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 300 g lentils
- 1.2 liters of water
- 1 small onion(s)
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- Vinegar
- Salt
- possibly Vienna sausages if required
- 250 g flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 eggs
- 100 ml milk

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Bring the water and lentils to a boil, add the diced onion and baking soda. Simmer for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, stir the ingredients for the sparrows into a thick dough. Scoop out the dough with a teaspoon and add it to the soup. Simmer for another 10 minutes. Finally, season the soup with salt and vinegar to taste. If you like, you can also add finely chopped Vienna sausages.
