Grandma's plum cake from the tray with sponge cake

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 50 g butter
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 150 g sugar
  • 125 ml milk
  • 1 pack of vanilla sauce powder for cooking
  • 300 g flour
  • 3 tsp, leveled baking powder
  • 700 g plums or prunes

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

for a baking tray

Cream the butter with the egg and sugar until fluffy. Sift in the flour and baking powder (this makes the batter even firmer) and add the vanilla sauce powder mixed with 60 ml of milk. Stir again. Gradually add the remaining milk while stirring. This will make the batter nice and creamy. Pour the batter onto a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet and spread it evenly. Cut the plums in half and arrange them, inside out, on the batter, covering as much as possible. If the plums are very sour, add sugar if desired. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 35 minutes on the middle shelf. Let cool on a wire rack for about 30 minutes.
