Ingredients
 

Mashed potatoes

  • 1 piece Onion
  • 1 pack Smoked bacon
  • 5 piece Juniper berries
  • 1 pinch Salt / pepper / caraway seeds
  • 4 piece Smoked Mettwurst
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 400 g Potatoes
  • 1 pinch Salt and pepper
  • 1 shot Milk or cream
  • 1 tbsp Parsley
  • 1 pinch Freshly grated nutmeg

Instructions
 

  • Peel and dice the onions, fry with butter and bacon. Drain the sauerkraut and add to the pot. Add 2 cups of water and the juniper berries and simmer
  • Peel and wash the potatoes, halve them in a saucepan with water, bring them to a boil and cook until they can be mashed as usual. Season with the spices, milk and butter and garnish with parsley.
  • Put the sausages in the sauerkraut pot for about 5 minutes and let them cook. Remove the juniper berries and season the sauerkraut with the spices. If you like, you can add caraway. Good Appetite
