Ingredients
Mashed potatoes
- 1 piece Onion
- 1 pack Smoked bacon
- 5 piece Juniper berries
- 1 pinch Salt / pepper / caraway seeds
- 4 piece Smoked Mettwurst
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 400 g Potatoes
- 1 pinch Salt and pepper
- 1 shot Milk or cream
- 1 tbsp Parsley
- 1 pinch Freshly grated nutmeg
Instructions
- Peel and dice the onions, fry with butter and bacon. Drain the sauerkraut and add to the pot. Add 2 cups of water and the juniper berries and simmer
- Peel and wash the potatoes, halve them in a saucepan with water, bring them to a boil and cook until they can be mashed as usual. Season with the spices, milk and butter and garnish with parsley.
- Put the sausages in the sauerkraut pot for about 5 minutes and let them cook. Remove the juniper berries and season the sauerkraut with the spices. If you like, you can add caraway. Good Appetite
