Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 3 m.-sized onion(s)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp sunflower oil
- some salt and pepper
- nutmeg
- 8 Swabian Maultasche(s) (50 g each from the freshness pack)
- 60 g cheese, grated
- 2 tbsp chives
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Preheat the oven to 220°C (200°C fan-assisted oven). Peel, halve, and slice the onions. Heat butter and oil in a pan, fry the onion rings until golden brown, and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Meanwhile, cook the Maultaschen according to the package instructions. Place half of the onions in two 15 x 15 cm baking dishes. Arrange the Maultaschen and the remaining onions on top. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake in the preheated oven on the second rack from the top for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with chives and serve.
