Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g beans, fresh green
  • 200 g bacon, streaky, smoked
  • 4 onions
  • 1 stalk(s) leek
  • 3 potatoes
  • 2 liters of broth
  • 30 g butter
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 cloves
  • savory
  • salt and pepper

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Luxembourgish specialty

Wash and trim the beans, and cut into 1 to 2 cm long pieces. Dice the white part of the leek and the bacon. Finely chop the onions. Fry the bacon in butter, then add the onions and sauté. Add stock. Add the beans and leek. Add the bay leaf, cloves, and savory. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes. After about 10 minutes, stir in the peeled and diced potatoes.
