Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 120 g butter
  • 5 tbsp water
  • 340 g beans, green, from the jar
  • some olive oil
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 150 g smoked ham, sometimes with bacon
  • 300 g feta cheese
  • 3 m.-sized eggs
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 175 g cheese (e.g. Gouda)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • Oil (garlic oil)

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Hearty meal from the springform pan

Take the butter out of the refrigerator in good time; it should be quite soft. Knead the flour, butter, water, and a pinch of salt into a dough and refrigerate it for 15 minutes. Sauté the peeled and finely chopped garlic with the diced ham in olive oil in a pan. Then add the well-drained green beans and warm briefly. Leave everything in the pan. Finely chop the parsley. In a separate bowl, break up the feta with a fork and mix evenly with the eggs and parsley. Season with pepper to taste. Line the bottom of a springform pan with baking paper. Pour the chilled dough into the springform pan, pressing it evenly onto the bottom and forming a small rim. Prick a few holes with a fork. Spread the feta, egg, and parsley mixture over the dough, then arrange the beans and ham on top and drizzle with garlic oil. Bake in a preheated oven (180°C) for 20 minutes, then spread the grated cheese on top and bake for another 20 minutes. You can grate and prepare the cheese in the first 20 minutes, so the tart only needs to be out of the oven for a short time. It tastes best warm, but not hot! Let it cool slightly first, then the tart will be easy to slice and won’t crumble.
