Grilled giant puffball

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 giant puffball
  • 2 tbsp herbal oil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

a rare find

Clean the puffball and peel off the skin, much like you would with mushrooms. Remove any snail tracks. Cut into thick slices and season lightly with salt and pepper. Grill it. It doesn’t take long, less than large mushrooms. We brushed the mushroom steak with herb oil afterward. This mushroom also tastes great breaded like a schnitzel and then pan-fried.
