Grilled sausages with marjoram puree

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 large apple, crumbly
  • 2 onions
  • some fat
  • 4 bratwursts (grilled sausages)
  • 1 tsp marjoram, dried
  • some salt
  • 100 ml milk
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 6 potatoes

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Wash, core, and slice the apples into rings. Peel and slice the onions. Peel and dice the potatoes, then cook in plenty of salted water. Heat the fat in a pan and sear the grilled sausages over medium heat until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pan and keep warm. Add the apple slices and onion rings to the pan and sauté until softened and the onions are golden brown and the apples are cooked through. Meanwhile, drain the potatoes and mash with milk, butter, and marjoram, then season to taste. Serve everything on plates. This goes best with a green salad and a cold beer.
