Gülsum's Turkish dumplings

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup oil, neutral
  • 1 cup natural yogurt
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 bag(s) of dry yeast
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 tsp, leveled salt
  • 500 g flour, sifted
  • 1 pack of feta cheese
  • 1 bunch parsley, flat
  • 1 egg(s)
  • some milk
  • e.g. sesame or
  • Black cumin for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Mix the sifted flour, dry yeast, baking powder, and salt well. Add the milk, oil, yogurt, and egg and knead everything into a smooth dough. The dough should no longer stick; if not, add more flour. Scoop out small balls. Place them on the baking sheet and flatten them like small flatbreads. Crumble the feta cheese and finely chop the parsley. Using a teaspoon, drop this mixture onto the flatbreads in small heaps. Press the dough together like a half-moon, twisting it slightly to the right and left. Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan oven). Beat the egg and milk and brush the parcels with it. Sprinkle with hulled sesame seeds or black cumin seeds. Bake on the middle rack for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
