Halloumi burger

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 small flatbreads
  • 250 g cheese (halloumi)
  • 200g tzatziki
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2 onions, red
  • 200 g mixed salad
  • 4 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper, mixed, freshly ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the onions and slice into thin rings. Slice the tomatoes, removing the stems. Wash the mixed salad, spin dry, and toss with the white wine vinegar and 1 liter of olive oil. Season with a little salt and a few turns of freshly ground pepper. Cut the halloumi into 4 slices and fry in a hot pan with the remaining olive oil until golden brown on both sides. Slice the flatbreads horizontally and toast until lightly browned and crispy. Then spread the flatbread halves with tzatziki and top the bottom halves with lettuce, onion rings, tomato slices, and halloumi, then arrange the top halves on top.
