Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 cup oil (corn germ or sunflower oil)
  • 2 cups semolina
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • e.g. cinnamon
  • n. B. almond(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Greek semolina dish

Cook the semolina with oil in a saucepan until the semolina turns reddish. Boil the water and sugar in another pan until the sugar dissolves. Carefully pour the sugar water into the other pan and stir until it forms a thick mixture. Transfer the mixture to a dish (Tupperware works too) and let it cool. Serve sprinkled with almonds and/or cinnamon, if desired.
