  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 150 ml water, lukewarm
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 ½ kg leeks
  • 50 g bacon, diced
  • 150 ml vegetable stock
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • nutmeg
  • 1 pack of sauce powder, light
  • 1 tbsp cream
  • 200 g ham, cooked
  • 75 g cheese, grated (Emmental or Gouda)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 50 minutes

for 1 baking tray

Sift the flour into a bowl, make a well in the center, and crumble in the yeast. Add the sugar and water, mix lightly with a little flour. Cover and let rise for 15 minutes. Then add the oil and salt and knead thoroughly, then let rise for another 15-30 minutes in a warm place. Trim the leek and cut it into 1 cm wide pieces. Fry the bacon cubes in a pan, frying the garlic clove in the process. Remove the garlic. Add the leek to the pan with the fried bacon and toss briefly. Now add the stock and spices and sauté for about 20 minutes. Then add the cream and thicken with the gravy powder (you may not need the whole packet). Let cool slightly. Preheat oven to 200°C. Roll out the dough and place it on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Cut the ham into strips and mix with the leek mixture. Spread the mixture over the dough and sprinkle with the cheese. Bake in the oven for about 40 – 45 minutes.
