Ham and mushroom pizza

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g pizza dough (refrigerated shelf)
  • 200 g tomatoes (pizza tomatoes)
  • some salt and pepper
  • Sugar
  • 1 tsp oregano, dried
  • 200 g mushrooms
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 100 g ham, cooked, sliced
  • 80 g cheese, medium-aged Gouda

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Preheat a baking sheet in a hot oven at 250°C (480°F). Prepare or unroll the pizza dough according to the instructions. Place the tomatoes in a tall, narrow container and blend briefly. Season with salt, pepper, a pinch of sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of oregano. Clean the mushrooms and slice them thinly. Peel the onion, halve it, and cut it into thin strips. Tear the ham into large pieces. Grate the cheese. Halve the pizza dough and roll it out on a lightly floured surface into two thin flatbreads. Place each flatbread on a sheet of baking paper. Spread with tomato sauce. Sprinkle with cheese and top with mushrooms, onions, and ham. Using the baking paper, slide one pizza onto the hot baking sheet. Bake the pizza in the lower third of the hot oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Bake the other pizza in the same way. Sprinkle the pizzas with the remaining oregano and season with salt and pepper if desired.
