Ham and pea cream sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 pack of diced ham
  • 2 small shallots
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 small can of peas
  • 300 ml cream
  • 200 ml milk
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly herbs (e.g. chives, parsley,…)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Peel the garlic and shallots and dice them finely. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to a saucepan and sauté the garlic, shallots, and ham until crispy. Then deglaze with milk and cream and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and add the peas. Finally, add the herbs and season with salt and pepper to taste.
