Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g sugar
  • 100 g lard
  • 100 g margarine
  • 750 g flour
  • 1 pack of ammonium bicarbonate
  • 1 egg(s)
  • some rose water
  • 1 lemon(s), grated peel, untreated
  • 1 point candied lemon peel

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

according to a recipe from my grandmother

Heat rose water, sugar, lard, and margarine in a saucepan and let cool. Then knead with flour, dissolved ammonium hydroxide (in a little water), egg, and lemon zest. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Roll out, cut out cookies of your choice, place on a prepared baking sheet, and top with candied lemon peel. Bake for about 12 minutes at 200°C (electric oven, middle rack). Bake at 175°C (convection oven, middle rack).
