Hamed's chicken strips with mushrooms

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1.2 kg chicken breast fillet(s)
  • 450 g mushrooms
  • 4 cups sour cream
  • 1 ½ tsp vegetable broth, granulated
  • 4 small onions
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, hot
  • garlic powder
  • 30 g bacon
  • butter
  • 4 packs of soup vegetables, frozen

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Cut the chicken into small strips and fry lightly in a little butter in a large (30 cm) deep frying pan. Season generously with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Finely dice the onions and thinly slice the mushrooms, and add both to the meat. Fry for 5 minutes, then stir in the vegetables, stirring constantly to prevent sticking. After another 5 minutes, stir in the sour cream. Add the vegetable stock and season to taste with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Add the finely chopped bacon. Simmer on low heat for another 20 minutes, stirring frequently. Serve with potatoes or tagliatelle.
