Hazelnut sticks

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 125 g butter (cold)
  • 125 g sugar
  • 125 g flour
  • Chocolate coating (milk)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

without egg and particularly crumbly, makes about 30 pieces

Cube the cold butter and quickly mix with the sugar, hazelnuts, and flour. Don’t overknead, so the heat doesn’t soften the butter too much. Shape the dough into a log and place it in a freezer bag. Chill for 1 hour. Roll out the log to the thickness of your finger, cut out pencil-thick sticks, and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. (If they get too warm, chill for another 2 hours—but that’s never happened to me.) Bake gently at 150°C for about 25 minutes. Let cool slightly, then dip one end in melted chocolate and let it dry. Extremely crumbly and delicious!
