Ingredients
additionally:
- 2 tsp Tartar baking powder
- 1 tbsp Coconut oil
- 2 tbsp Almond butter
- 1 Pc. Egg
- 3 tbsp Unsweetened applesauce
- 1 pinch Salt
- 4 tbsp Maple syrup
- 1 tbsp Raw cocoa powder
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tbsp Birch sugar for sprinkling
Instructions
- Finely grind the oat flakes and knead with the remaining ingredients to form a dough. Shape walnut-sized balls and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper, spaced apart. Press it flat with the back of your hand (maybe moisten a little with water). That works wonderfully and the biscuits have a similarly beautiful shape as when I first roll them out, cut them out etc ... 😉
- Sprinkle the biscuits with the birch sugar and then bake in the preheated oven on the middle shelf at top / bottom heat 180 degrees for about 15 minutes. The cookies don't taste very sweet, so they are also suitable for small children (in which case you might even omit the birch sugar).
- For a little more sweetness e.g. For example, knead a small handful of raisins into the dough. Alternatively, add 2 large, soft pureed dates to the batter. Or you can increase the maple syrup to a total of 6 tbsp.
