simple, classic, like grandma’s

Cut the smoked pork neck into large cubes. Peel the onions, carrots, celery, and potatoes, and also dice them. Heat a little oil in a pot and sauté the smoked pork cubes. Add the onions, carrots, celery, and potatoes and sauté. Add the bay leaves, allspice, and savory, and pour in water or vegetable stock until everything is well covered. Bring to a boil and cook until the vegetables are tender. Then add the beans, bring back to a boil, and season the stew with salt, pepper, and a little sugar.
