Hearty – spicy fried eggs

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 eggs
  • butter
  • 3 slices of bratwurst or salami (red sausage or ham cubes are also possible)
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, hot
  • oregano
  • 4 slices of brown bread
  • possibly ketchup or salsa
  • possibly chives, rolls

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

That’s how I like them best!

Cut the sausage into relatively small pieces. Heat butter in a pan, add the sausage, and fry. Then add the eggs to the pan and sprinkle with the seasoning. Optionally, you can also sprinkle chives on top. Let the eggs set nicely, gently swirling the pan every now and then to prevent sticking. It’s best to slide the cooked eggs onto a large, flat plate to serve. Place the slices of bread on plates, place a fried egg on each slice of bread, and serve immediately. Some people also like a bit of ketchup or salsa on the fried egg.
