Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 800 g potatoes
  • 150 ml milk
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 4 apples
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 4 shallots or onions
  • 1 ring/s black pudding
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Wash and peel the potatoes and chop them up a little if necessary. Boil them in water and then let them evaporate. Add the milk and butter, salt and nutmeg and mash the potatoes. Peel, quarter and core the apples and cut them into large cubes. Heat the butter and sugar, toss the apple pieces in the water and let them brown slightly. Peel the shallots and slice them into rings. Fry them in a pan with oil and season with salt and pepper. Peel the black pudding and cut it into slices about 2 cm thick. Toss in the flour in a bowl. Then fry in a pan with oil on both sides. Season with pepper. To serve: Place the mashed potatoes in the middle of the plate and scatter the apple pieces over them. Place the black pudding on the side and garnish with the onions.
