Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour (wheat flour)
  • 1 cube of yeast, crumbled
  • 300 ml milk, lukewarm
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 40 g margarine
  • 3 tbsp herbs, chopped (parsley, dill, cress, chives)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 15 minutes

Combine ingredients in a bowl and knead with the dough hook of a hand mixer for 3-5 minutes until the dough is glossy and elastic. Cover with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place until it has doubled in size. Knead again and divide the dough into 3 strands, braid each strand, and place in a greased loaf pan or baking sheet. Let it rise again. Then bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 40-50 minutes.
