Homemade chicken curry

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 2 onions
  • 4 cloves garlic, or 2 Chinese garlic cloves
  • 26 g ginger
  • 4 tbsp curry powder
  • 4 tbsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp vegetable broth
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 pinch(s) of pepper
  • 200 ml cream
  • 100 ml water
  • 50 ml milk
  • 500 g chicken breast
  • Salt
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 5 hours

Cut the meat into pieces and fry in a little oil in a pan. Season the meat with a pinch of salt, pepper, and curry powder. Chop the onions and ginger into small pieces. Add the water to the pan. Add the onions and ginger and sauté for about 5-10 minutes. Add the cream and spices and stir until a creamy sauce forms. Add the milk and simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring frequently. Let the curry simmer for a few hours. Add the meat before serving and bring back to a boil for about another 10 minutes. Serve with basmati rice.
