Spice mix in a jar – also a great gift
Carefully layer everything in a glass (for at least 200 – 250 ml – depending on how full the spoon is): 4 tbsp sweet paprika powder, white pepper, freshly ground dark baking cocoa + cloves + cinnamon, cumin/cumin, cayenne pepper/chili, oregano, salt, freshly ground black pepper + allspice 4 tbsp sweet paprika powder I spent some time experimenting with this mix so that I could give my son (who was still a novice cook at the time) our own (chemical- and flavor enhancer-free) fix for chili con carne – and it has already proven itself many times over and is always a hit with other recipients too. Use: For chili con carne, approx. 3 – 6 tbsp for approx. 4 portions. The mix is deliberately not very hot, as you can easily add more spice to your taste with fresh chili peppers or something similar. The spice also goes well with egg dishes, chili sin carne, chili pots made from diced beef, stews and soups (tomato-based)…
