Honey – Lemon – Ice Cream

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 ml whipped cream
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 200 g honey (bee honey)
  • 1 pck. flavoring (Citro – Back) or 1 lemon, the grated peel
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • possibly ground ginger

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Recipe for the ice cream maker

Whip the cream until stiff peaks form. Whisk the egg yolks, honey, flavoring or lemon zest, and salt with an electric mixer until creamy. Blend the cream and egg mixture thoroughly, adding a pinch of ginger powder at the end if desired. Pour everything into the ice cream maker and churn according to the instructions. If you like, you can also add some coconut flakes; they also taste great and make the ice cream firmer.
