Honey Slices

The perfect honey slices recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the dough:

  • 500 g Flour
  • 2 Pc. Eggs
  • 4 tbsp Honey
  • 4 tbsp Milk
  • 160 g Icing sugar
  • 60 g Soft butter
  • 0,5 Pkg. Baking powder

For the fullness:

  • 4 tbsp Flour
  • 500 ml Milk
  • 200 g Soft butter
  • 160 g Icing sugar
  • Melted butter for the tray
  1. For the dough: Knead all ingredients into a dough, wrap in cling film and leave to rest in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
  1. In the meantime, whisk the flour with milk for the filling and bring to the boil, stirring constantly, and then allow to cool.
  1. Divide the dough into 4 equal parts and roll out very thinly between 2 baking mats. Turn the underside of the baking sheet up (it will be baked on the underside of the baking sheet) and brush with melted butter
  1. Place the dough on top and bake at 180 degrees for 4 minutes (becomes very light) The baked sheet of dough should slide off the sheet easily, if not, loosen it with a long knife.
  1. Bake all 4 plates like this!
  1. Mix the butter with icing sugar until fluffy and add the cooled milk and flour mixture spoon by spoon
  1. Fill the dough sheets, put them in the refrigerator for about 1 hour and then cut them into small pieces
