Honey Slices
The perfect honey slices recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For the dough:
- 500 g Flour
- 2 Pc. Eggs
- 4 tbsp Honey
- 4 tbsp Milk
- 160 g Icing sugar
- 60 g Soft butter
- 0,5 Pkg. Baking powder
For the fullness:
- 4 tbsp Flour
- 500 ml Milk
- 200 g Soft butter
- 160 g Icing sugar
- Melted butter for the tray
- For the dough: Knead all ingredients into a dough, wrap in cling film and leave to rest in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
- In the meantime, whisk the flour with milk for the filling and bring to the boil, stirring constantly, and then allow to cool.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal parts and roll out very thinly between 2 baking mats. Turn the underside of the baking sheet up (it will be baked on the underside of the baking sheet) and brush with melted butter
- Place the dough on top and bake at 180 degrees for 4 minutes (becomes very light) The baked sheet of dough should slide off the sheet easily, if not, loosen it with a long knife.
- Bake all 4 plates like this!
- Mix the butter with icing sugar until fluffy and add the cooled milk and flour mixture spoon by spoon
- Fill the dough sheets, put them in the refrigerator for about 1 hour and then cut them into small pieces
