Hot and sour soup for the office

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 tsp instant chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp, heaped oat flakes, fine
  • 1 slice(s) cold cuts (chicken in aspic) or more
  • some ginger, fresh
  • some sambal oelek
  • 250 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 2 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 minute; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Requires 5 minutes and a kettle

Bring water to a boil in a kettle, while pouring the chicken broth and oatmeal into a cup or bowl. If desired, add a small piece of peeled and finely chopped fresh ginger (the ginger will be milder if it has been leached to make the tea). Pour in the boiling water, add one or two slices of chicken in aspic, stir briefly, and let it steep. The aspic will dissolve in the hot broth, leaving the chicken and vegetable pieces to serve as the soup garnish. A pinch of sambal oelek can be added for a little extra spice. 65 kcal per serving.
