Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 175 g flour
- 75 g cornstarch
- 65 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 egg(s)
- 165 g butter
- e.g. apricot jam
- 200 g marzipan paste
- 100 g powdered sugar
- Chocolate glaze
- Walnut halves
Instructions
Working time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes
Make a shortcrust pastry from flour, cornstarch, sugar, vanilla sugar, egg, and butter. Let it rest in the refrigerator for about 1 hour. Then roll out the dough to a knife-thickness and cut out shapes using a round cookie cutter. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 10 minutes. Once cooled, spread each cookie with jam and sandwich them together with a second cookie cutter. Knead the marzipan and powdered sugar together and roll out thinly. Cut out shapes again using the same round cookie cutters. Spread the cookies again with jam and place a cut-out piece of marzipan on each one. Cover with chocolate glaze and decorate with a walnut half.
