Indian Dhal Curry with Yellow Lentils

The perfect indian dhal curry with yellow lentils recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 225 g Yellow lentils
  • 2 Pc. Potatoes
  • 1 tsp Ground ginger
  • 1 tsp Sea-Salt
  • 1 tsp Ground cumin
  • 1 tsp Turmeric

for the pan:

  • 1 tsp Curry
  • 4 Pc. Tomatoes
  • 1 Pc. Onion
  • 1 Pc. Clove of garlic
  • Ghee or butter for frying
  • 1 tsp Honey
  1. Boil the lentils with the spices in 850 ml water for about 5 minutes. Dice the potatoes and add after the 5 minutes and simmer for another 10 minutes.
  1. Heat some ghee in a pan and fry the curry powder with the diced onions, garlic, tomatoes and peppers for about 5 minutes. Then add the lentils and potatoes. Season to taste with honey and salt.
