Indian onion fritters

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 onions
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 100 g chickpea flour
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • Oil or frying fat for frying
  • 60 g wheat flour
  • n. B. water

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

vegetarian, makes about 20 pancakes

Finely slice the onions and finely chop the garlic. Combine the wheat and chickpea flour, add the egg, chili powder, and baking soda, and mix with water to form a creamy batter. Then add the onions and garlic to the batter. Heat about 2 cm of oil or fat in a shallow pan. Using a tablespoon, drop in the batter in portions and press into flat patties. Fry until golden on both sides and drain on kitchen paper. Serve hot.
