Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 100 g butter, cold
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 8 onions
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 125 g ham, cooked, smoked pork or meat sausage
  • 4 eggs
  • 200 g cream
  • Caraway seeds
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Make a dough from the first four ingredients and chill for one hour. Then line a 24cm springform pan with it and raise the edges by two centimeters. It’s best to roll the dough out between layers of cling film. Finely slice the onions (this works best with a cucumber slicer) and sauté them in butter. Spread the dough with the cooked ham, smoked pork loin, or pork sausage. Whisk the eggs with the spices and pour over the onions. Bake the cake in a preheated oven (top/bottom heat) at 200°C for 20 minutes.
