Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg minced meat
  • e.g. ham, raw
  • 2 cups of sweet cream
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 large jar of Hungarian-style paprika sauce
  • ¼ liter of milk
  • Spice(s) of your choice
  • Butter for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Season the minced meat and shape into rolls, wrap each one in a slice of raw ham, and place in a buttered casserole dish. Combine the cream, sour cream, and sauce. The sauce will be very thick; thin it with a little milk. Pour the mixture over the rolls. Bake in the oven at 200°C (400°F) top/bottom heat for about 1 hour. Cover for the first 45 minutes, otherwise everything will overcook. Serve with pasta or rice.
