Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 150 g pasta (fusilli)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 150 g ham, cooked, cut into strips
  • 6 eggs
  • 60 ml milk
  • 60 g Parmesan, freshly grated
  • 150 g Cheddar cheese, freshly grated
  • 2 tbsp parsley, freshly chopped
  • 1 tsp basil, fresh
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the pasta al dente. Heat half the oil in a deep frying pan. Add the onions and stir over low heat until softened. Add the ham to the onions and stir for one minute. Transfer to a plate. In a bowl, beat the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Stir in the onion and ham mixture, herbs, Parmesan, and pasta. Mix thoroughly. Heat the remaining oil in the deep frying pan and pour in the mixture. Sprinkle with grated cheddar. Cook briefly on the plate over medium heat until the mixture sets around the edges. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius on the middle rack for about 20 minutes.
