Italian penne salad

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200g penne
  • salt and pepper
  • Sugar
  • 200 g cherry tomatoes
  • 1 vegetable onion(s)
  • ½ romaine lettuce(s)
  • 200g mozzarella
  • 2 tbsp basil, chopped
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 6 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp vinegar (white wine)
  • 6 tbsp olive oil
  • 75 g salami, French, slim

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

great side dish for grilled food

Cook the pasta in boiling salted water. Cut the salami into wafer-thin slices. Halve the tomatoes. Slice the onion (it doesn’t have to be whole) into wafer-thin rings, and cut the romaine lettuce into strips. Slice the mozzarella. Chop the basil and press the garlic. Season the vinegar with salt, pepper, sugar, and garlic. Whisk in the oil and fold in the basil. Mix all ingredients together. Cover and let stand for a while.
