Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 large onion(s)
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 medium-sized red bell pepper(s)
- 1 medium-sized bell pepper(s), yellow
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ½ cup cream
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- ½ bag of tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp salt
- some pepper
- possibly oregano, basil, pizza seasoning
- 1 ball of mozzarella
- 250g rigatoni
- 2 liters of water
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour
Peel and dice the onion, press the garlic, and wash and dice the bell peppers. Heat olive oil in a saucepan and add the onion and garlic. When the onion is translucent, add the bell peppers. Pour in the cream and stir in the tomato paste, ketchup, and tomato sauce. Season with salt, pepper, and spices. Cut the mozzarella into pieces and add 1/3. Meanwhile, cook the pasta. Drain in a sieve and pour cold water over it. Prepare the baking dish. Add the pasta and pour the sauce over it. Cover with the remaining mozzarella. Garnish with oregano, and bake in the oven at 180°C on the middle rack using top/bottom heat for about 30 minutes.
