Blackberries are particularly ripe and sweet in summer. Homemade blackberry juice is not only delicious but also healthy. We show you the easiest way to juice blackberries.
Juicing blackberries with a juicer
Having your own juicer is the most convenient way to juice blackberries.
- First, wash the blackberries and put them in whole pieces in the juicer.
- It is advisable to add some vitamin C or lemon juice. This protects and gives a certain fresh kick.
- If you use blackberries that are not quite ripe, you can add a little sugar or syrup. This counteracts the acid.
Juicing blackberries without a juicer
But even if you don’t have your own juicer, you don’t have to do without juicing.
- First, wash the blackberries and put them on a clean strainer. Here you can either buy a cloth specially designed for this or use a simple kitchen towel.
- You can also refine the blackberries with a little lemon juice or sugar – depending on how ripe they are.
- Now squeeze the juice out of the berries with a twist through the cloth. Blackberries are soft enough that sheer muscle power is enough and they do not require rotating knives.
