Easily juice your fruit without a juicer. Especially in summer, fresh juices are a hit. If you want to make fruit juice yourself on a permanent basis, having your own juicer is convenient, but not essential.
How to juice without a juicer
Don’t have a juicer handy? Then simply juice with a blender. This method works especially well for most medium-firm fruit.
- First, wash the fruit. Depending on the variety, you must now peel it and then cut it into small pieces.
- If there are fruits that turn brown quickly, you should add vitamin C or lemon juice. This will slow down the oxidation.
- Put the fruit in a blender. After about a minute, the fruit will have a mush-like consistency.
- Take the cheesecloth or a tea towel and pour in the mixture. Then squeeze the juice into a bowl and then bottle it.
Juice soft fruits
You can easily juice soft fruits by hand with a fine cloth. It’s especially easy with berries.
- Wash the berries and put them in a fine strainer.
- Fold the cloth together and squeeze the juice out of the fruit by twisting the cloth.
Juicing with a saucepan
It is best to juice harder fruit and some types of vegetables in a standard household saucepan. How to proceed:
- First, wash the fruit and cut it into small pieces.
- Place fruit or vegetables in a saucepan and cover the bottom with water, about an inch deep.
- Place the pot on the stove and simmer with the lid on for about 20-30 minutes over low heat. This will soften the fruit and vegetables and make juicing easier.
- If fruit and vegetables are soft, squeeze them through a strainer. Now either bottle the juice or enjoy it straight away.
