Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • ½ cup butter
  • 500 g minced meat
  • ¼ cup rice, cooked
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 1 bunch parsley, finely chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 lemons
  • 1 cup vegetable broth

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Greek meatballs with sauce

Mix all the ingredients for the meatballs together well and knead the meat dough. Then form small, round balls and refrigerate them for 1 hour. Half-fill a pot with water and add the butter. Add a little salt and bring to a boil. Then add the meatballs one at a time and cook for about 10 minutes until tender. For the sauce, beat the eggs and add the lemon juice. Carefully stir in the stock, a little at a time. Heat gently, stirring with a whisk. Serve the meatballs in the sauce.
