Ingredients for 3 servings:
- 60 g butter
- 500 g tomatoes, peeled
- 1 tsp sugar
- 7 garlic cloves, coarsely chopped
- 4 tbsp white wine or water
- salt and pepper
- 500 g minced beef or pork or mixed
- 4 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 1 egg(s), lightly beaten
- 2 tsp parsley, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 onion(s), chopped
- salt and pepper
- Oil for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes
For the sauce, melt the butter, add the tomatoes, sugar, garlic, wine or water, and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 30 minutes, then puree and season to taste. For the meatballs, knead the remaining ingredients into a meatball dough and form into long rolls. Brown in oil on all sides, then add to the sauce and simmer for another 15 minutes.
