Lebanese minced meat dish, quick and easy to make

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius (top and bottom heat). Peel the potatoes, cut them into 5-6 mm thick slices, and then boil them in salted water for 5 minutes. Then cut the tomatoes into 5-6 mm thick slices, chop the onions into the smallest possible pieces, and wash and finely chop the parsley. Mix the minced meat in a bowl with the onions, parsley, salt, pepper, and any kofte seasoning you have. The minced meat tastes delicious even without the kofte seasoning. Press the minced meat firmly into the bottom of a baking dish and spread a thin layer of tomato puree or tomato paste over it with a spoon. If using tomato paste, I recommend diluting it with a little water in a mug, as it is more economical and easier to spread. Place the potato slices over the minced meat and then scatter the tomatoes over the potatoes. Finally, spread a little tomato puree or tomato paste over the tomatoes and bake the casserole at 220 degrees Celsius for about 45 minutes. The cafta casserole contains approximately 710 kcal per serving.
