Ingredients
 

  • 1 Fresh white cabbage
  • 8 Floury potatoes [large]
  • 40 g Butter
  • 8 slices Kassel roast salmon
  • 8 slices Nutmeg
  • 8 slices Salt

Instructions
 

  • Remove the outer leaves from the white cabbage and cut the cabbage into pieces approx. 3 by 3 cm. Bring the water to the boil, add enough salt and ferment the cabbage in it. The cooking time is about 5 hours
  • While the cabbage is boiling, the potatoes are peeled and cut and also cooked in salted water. I lightly mash the potatoes with a masher and set them aside.
  • Shortly before the end of the cooking time, the pork pies are fried in butter. Now the excess liquid is skimmed off the cabbage, the mashed potatoes and the butter from the frying pan are added to the cabbage and seasoned with nutmeg.
